We interviewed the General Director of Biosurya, a company whose main activity is the manufacture, development and distribution of organic vegetable proteins.

What is Biosurya and what is its main activity?

Biosurya has been developing its main activity since 1978, we are specialized in the manufacture and development of organic vegan and vegetarian proteins that we present with various brands and different formats: hamburgers, sausages, cold cuts, sliced ​​meats and ready meals.

How many product ranges do you currently market?

We have 9 Veggies product lines: burgers, sausages, cold cuts, sliced ​​meats, family-style burgers, maxiburguer, ready meals, tofu and Horeca.

Our brands are Ecológicos Ahimsa, Sabbio, Delatierra, Horeca Veggie Bio and Veryburguer.

What would you say is your main difference compared to other brands?

It would highlight our know-how, the result of our experience and specialization, our company is a pioneer in the Veggie sector, this year we turn 42.

The qualification of our multidisciplinary human team, technicians, engineers, graphic design and marketing, which includes professionals with more than 25 years of experience in the sector, allows us to offer our clients the highest quality standards in manufacturing, packaging, design, innovation and marketing.

Goal 2020, what can you tell us?

This year several novelties have been presented, the main one a new concept of vegan burger: Very Burger. Analogous to meat and based on pea protein, with higher fiber content, less fat and 22 grams of protein per burger of 110 grams, with an innovative flavor and texture.

On the other hand, the new Horeca Veggie Bio line was presented in February. The range consists of 6 references presented in Food Service trays with a weight per tray between 1kg and 1,400 Kg.

And in the month of May it is planned to present our new brand for the specialized channel: Sabbio. That will be made up of 6 product lines, offering an affordable price to consumers in each and every one of the products.

Our asset is our current portfolio of clients, who trust us and are always fully ready to expand their assortment, for the confidence that we offer as a specialized manufacturer.
